January 2012

None of the progeny blossomed in 2011. In January of 2012 the first signs of buds began to appear on a few of the new crosses. They normally blossom in May so they are being watched closely for more plants with first time buds. May of 2012 will be exciting. It will have been five years since the cross.

This represents two views of a majority of the larger plants. The plants in the large pots were transplanted the third time as pots became available. I now have enough pots to transplant the remainder of small plants (not shown) but even with a 20' x36' conservatory, finding space will be a challenge.

To create space for the pots  they were hung over a concrete area with hot water radiant heat in the concrete. The first buds are very small (See inset). More plants with buds are beginning to show each week or two.
